Loyola Theatre
Without a doubt, the Loyola Theatre is the biggest
landmark in Westchester, other than LAX. It's long
history, elaborate art deco design and glamorous
front stood out from pretty much every other
building in this area.

Personal film I saw there are endless; The Blues
Brother, 1941, Cheech & Chong's Next Movie, Life
Of Brian, etc. etc.

Sadly, much like the Paradise theatre, it was
gutted and converted into a medical building in the
mid-80's. Sure they save much of the front, but,
still, looking at the results, it's kinda painful.
Above was taken from a greeting card that was given to me while I was working at the
Westchester Fair. It was drawn and printed in 1988. The artists name is Herbert
Nikirk.
